Kira Fobbs

Kira Fobbs has been a teacher in the Madison Metropolitan School District since 1996. She holds a master of science degree in curriculum and instruction and multicultural education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She was in the second cohort of the Teach for Diversity Teacher Preparation Program directed by Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings and Dr. Mary Louise Gomez. This unique program was designed to develop best practices in Urban Education with a focus on Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. She currently runs a unique K-5 Makerspace STEAM program at Falk Elementary School.
