Building the Social-Emotional Learning or SEL Classroom

Educators know that the best instruction considers the needs of the whole child and includes social and emotional development. While this important component of healthy maturation serves as the foundation for everything they value in the education of young people, many educators need support to implement social and emotional learning (SEL) practices in their classrooms.

Building the Social-Emotional Learning or SEL Classroom supports teachers to fully integrate SEL into their everyday teaching. SEL is not additive to the existing curriculum, and SEL skill development will enable and support academic learning.

In this asynchronous course, learners will engage with videos from experts, evaluate research-based articles, explore examples of SEL in classrooms, engage with other course participants, and complete a series of implementation activities which develop into an SEL plan for their classroom.

When: Seven self-paced, asynchronous modules.

Where: Online

Program Fee: $500/individual, custom pricing available for schools and districts

Building the Social-Emotional Learning or SEL Classroom can be paid for with Title I, Title II, and Title IV funding. Visit the links to learn more.
