Carey Callies

Carey Callies has taught eighth grade for 17 years, five of which were in Oakland, California, where Callies taught all subjects before moving to Madison to teach math and science at Toki Middle School in Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD). Callies is a self-proclaimed science nerd who knows how to teach math and has learned to love it. Callies, who is married with two children, enjoys traveling the United States and all around the world and values different regional and international viewpoints. “I look forward to being a part of this partnership because I value collaboration and a global perspective. We all need to work together to move our society forward to a more just set of systems,” said Callies.
