Jeff Evancho

Dr. Jeff Evancho co-leads a learning community known as Agency by Design Pittsburgh. This educator-centric community is a research practice partnership designed to connect educators from diverse maker-based learning environments to develop mutual understandings of maker-centered learning and assessment. Additionally, Jeff is the Director of Partnerships and Equity for Northgate School District, a small public school just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout Jeff’s two decades of educational experience ranging from classroom teaching, after-school programming, and public-school administration, he has been passionate about student agency and school reform. More importantly, helping to grow educators to help change educational systems so that students gain the agency to direct their learning into the future. He is also passionate about his family, his art, and his garden.
