Hi! My name is Dee Dee Messer and I have been teaching science for 24 years at William Mason High School in Mason, Ohio. I have experience teaching chemistry, physical science, physics, AP Physics B, AP Physics C Mechanics, and AP Physics C Electricity & Magnetism. I have been a part of the AP Physics Reading for over 12 years as a reader, table leader, question leader, and exam leader for all four AP Physics exams. I served on Ohio’s Physical Science Content Review Committee, writing the graduation exam for high school students. I have spoken about best practices at a number of conferences including the National Science Teachers Association’s Regional Conference and Phil Schlecty’s Southwest Ohio Conferences. I have led multi-day workshops for Mass Insight for the last two years. I worked for the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) where I collaborated with two other physics teachers in writing a Pre-AP summer course to help high school students prepare for success in AP Physics 1. I am an AP Daily instructor and have created online instructional videos for the College Board to support AP teachers and students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy my other two full-time jobs of wife and mom of three kids (and dog).
