Skylar L. Primm was born and raised in New Orleans, earning a bachelor of science degree in geology from the University of New Orleans in 2002. He moved to Madison and earned a master of science in geology from UW–Madisonin 2006, followed by teacher certification from Edgewood College in 2009. Since 2011, he has served as co-lead teacher at High Marq Environmental Charter School in Montello, Wisconsin, where students in grades six through twelveco-create curriculum through project-based learning, weekly environmental field experiences, and student democracy. Primm also works with the Greater Madison Writing Project and was honored with a Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowshipin 2017. He currently serves onthe boards of the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education and the Human Restoration Project.
